Mounting the sensor remotely allows safer reading and longer sensor life, and improved accuracy.For high-temp situations, such as exhaust manifold temperature, mounting a sensor directly to the exhaust manifold will result in sensor failure. A remote mount kit helps to isolate the temperature, ensure longevity, and improve the accuracy of the sensor.
